PUPIL PREMIUM 2012/2013
There is a strong correlation between social deprivation and low attainment at school. The Pupil Premium was introduced in 2011/2012 financial year to help raise low attainment in schools. Our ethos within Heysham High School is that every pupil can achieve irrespective of their social and economic background. Our aim is to have a curriculum that supports this ethos and one that ensures every pupil has a subject they can study and achieve in.
The pupil premium allocation this year is £600 per pupil for those who are on or who have been on FSM over the last 5 years (Ever 6 Free School Meals Eligibility) or pupils who are ‘Looked After’. Our current prediction for funding is £192600 made up of 7 LAC and 314 Ever 6 Free School Meals eligibility.
